Vision Therapy for Children
Patients may have one or many of the following symptoms:
- Your child is easily distracted and has a short attention span, especially when working on something up close like a jigsaw puzzle or tying shoes
- Your child has underdeveloped fine motor skills – poor handwriting, cannot stay in the lines when coloring (after about age 5), has difficulty using scissors, etc.
- Your child has underdeveloped gross (large) muscle skills – trouble throwing and catching, difficulty riding a bike, seems clumsy, trips a lot
- Your child tends to have emotional outbursts that are significantly disproportionate to the trigger
- Your child moves and wiggles all over the place when trying to read or write
- Your child complains of headaches or tummy aches when reading or doing homework
- Your child avoids reading, procrastinates horribly with homework, and never chooses to read for fun
